Lead Pastor
Pastor Michael Sundersingh
Michael Sundersingh stepped into full-time ministry soon after his graduation (BA), worked with UESI Tamil Nadu from April ’82-1984, and finished his Bachelors in Divinity (BD) in April 1987. With the specific call to work in Punjab, he was involved in street Evangelism and Church planting from April ’87 until April 1989.
After marrying Grace in May 1989, they both stepped into Pioneering ministry among students in Punjab. Served with UESI until March 2006 at Ludhiana and gave leadership as Zonal Secretary for North West Zone.
He with his family, moved to New Delhi in April 2006 to minister among Medical Students, and Doctors in North India as Pastoral Care Coordinator with Evangelical Medical Fellowship of India (EMFI) to give Pastoral Care to Drs until June 2020. Michael and Grace have two sons and a daughter.
Pastor Michael Sundersingh joined as Lead Pastor of SDC-DBF from July 2020 after so much of experience in Missions in North India.
The church is called to be a display of God’s glory. The local congregation has the final say in matters of discipline and doctrine. However, the congregation is led and fed by elders who oversee our church. These elders fulfill the biblical qualifications of 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. They endeavour to lead and feed the church through example, preaching and teaching, discipling, counseling and casting vision. They are currently 4 Elders.
Deacons/Deaconesses
We currently have eight Deacons/Deaconesses who serve the church in various vital areas of ministry, following the pattern as described in the book of Acts, chapter 6. They are Deacon of Ushering, the Deacon for Building, the Deacon for Finance, the Deacon of P.A. and Sound, the Deacon of hospitality, the Deacon of Publicity and the Deacon of Member Care.
Our staff is dedicated full-time to the work of the ministry of this local church. At the moment the staff team consists of the Lead Pastor and the Assistant Pastor. The Lead Pastor serves with the DBF, South English Congregation and the Assistant Pastor leads the DBF, South Hindi Congregation.
